Summer Favourites 2014

Hello everyone!
I know its been a while, very sorry i might add, but i will try to get back into a rhythm of blogging at least once a week even if it is to take my mind off of the new school year and the horrors of Gcse's (face palm). Its been a good summer (if you were in the slightest interested) but as always it seems to go by far too quickly and before you know it august is finished, september begins and then its christmas which is how i like to think :))
I thought i'd share with you all my Summer favourites for this year which i have been LOVING.

Its not a massive list of products but these are genuinely what i've been using and enjoying for this summer and the holidays.
Firstly, what i usually do the minute i get home from the last day of school is paint my nails and i like to change up the colours weekly but for the whole summer i have only used 2 colours; Nails Inc Tilney Street and Essie's Mint Candy Apple, i think these particular pastel shades compliment my skin tone and look really nice with a tan. In addition, i have got soo much use out my Kate Spade wallet which i think is so cute mainly because i love the colour (see a pattern forming?).
I've been quite into styling my hair with curls and waves and really wanted to lighten it up a bit so i tried the Casting Sunkiss from Loreal paired with the bright sun and it did actually work a bit, it says it works better with prolonged use so we shall see. I really wanted to cut my hair quite short but i got too scared when it came down do it but one day i will be brave. To repair damage from the pool, heat etc i have been using Morrocan Oil in the original formula- I LOVE. I might do a separate review for that let me know.
Also, for lips i used the Sugar Lip treatment from Fresh and it smells of lemons and sugar, whats not to love. Summer fragrence has been Chanel Chance which is gorgeous and quite long lasting and smells quite floral and soft.
An honourable mention must go to Netflix as its been my saving grace when the weather in England has been frankly terrible, my favourite shows go to Orange is the new Black, The US Office and Gossip Girl :)

What's in my Travel Makeup bag?

hello everyone. I thought that as i am going on holiday in literally a couple of hours that i would share my travel makeup essentials i'm taking with me.
I tried to make it as minimal as i could because i only regret taking most of my stuff especially when i have to carry it!

Base:
I took a mini foundation sample of Urban Decay Naked Skin in 0.5 so i can use it up and not have the take it home. For concealer, i chose the Rimmel Wake Me Up in ivory which is great for disguising tired looking eyes (which i have all the time) as long haul flights can make you appear barely alive. For powder, i have the Mac Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in Medium to set makeup and keep matte throughout the day.

Eyes:
I am taking a small Smashbox eyeshadow palette from their Wondervision set and as a base i am using the Estee Lauder eye tattoo in Pink Zinc which you could also wear by itself if in a rush. Eyeliner wise, i am taking the Rimmel Scandaleyes eyeliners in black and bronze because they are really beautiful and stay on all day and for mascara i am taking a mini Benefit their real (which i LOVE).

Lips:
I had to narrow this category down quite a lot but in the end i chose the Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfecter in Rose Shimmer as it's really pretty and natural. For some colour i chose one LOOK's Fat Lips which is a pretty pinky red colour. Finally, I couldn't forget a Maybelline Baby Lips for that moisture especially against the pollution of NYC!

I hope you all have a really lovely Easter break, thanks for reading,
Nat xo

My Top 5 Tinted Lip Balms

Hello everybody! I know it's the beginning of February but happy new year anyways. January has been a bit dull as it usually is, festivities have ended and i just want it to be summer, or at least spring and for this rain and cold to stop! But anyway, today i wanted to bring you all my top 5 tinted lipbalms as i have come to the conclusion i have far too many for a normal person and it was really difficult to narrow it down but hay ho.
From right to left i have; Vaseline 'Paint the town', Labello (Nivea) 'Fruity shine', Korres Pomegranate, The Body Shop born lippy in 'Strawberry' and Maybelline baby lips in 'Cherry'.
Here are the swatches:

Vaseline- This lip balm is really natural and a pretty sheer red and it smells really sweet. I purchased it not too long ago in boots for £3.99 which is quite pricey for Vaseline but i think it's worth it as it's a tint as well as a balm and it might be limited edition.

Labello (Nivea) Fruity Shine- I found this in italy and haven't been able to get it in London although i think they have these in America. It has a bit of glitter which isn't really seen in the swatch but you can see it on the lips. It also smells really good and i think it was around 2 euros which is a nice price.

Korres Pomegranate- I searched a lot for this lip balm after seeing Estee blogging about them ages ago and was going to order it but luckily they had loads of colours unexpectedly stocked in Waitrose. It is not as glossy as the others but really moisturising and has good colour pay off.

Body Shop Strawberry- I like this lip balm because the packaging is really cute and it smells like strawberries. The one down side of this lip balm is i find it a bit sticky but they come in lots of different flavours and colours so there is one for everybody.

Maybelline Baby lips in Cherry- This lip balm is really light weight and the colour is like a berry red. It's a nice everyday lip balm and as the name suggests it smells like cherries. Boots usually have a 3 for 2 deal on which i never say no to.
